During recess a school the next day, Vika comes over to Ethan and gives him the key to her dad's place where he is keeping Inkling. Turns out that Vika wants Inkling to be back in Ethan's possesion too! Vika gives him the info about what Inkling has been doing so Ethan can tell if it is Inkling or Blotter. She also tells him that Blotter is willing to eat Inkling. That night, Ethan breaks into the biulding, and finds Inkling and Blotter. However, both splotches and thier tanks look exactly the same! Ethan puts a divider in between the tanks so that they cannot copy one or the other. Ethan asks what the name of his cat is, and grabs Inkling quickly. Blotter comes after them, but they trap him in a sponge. On the way home, Ethan accedentally falls down.
