In Chapter 2, Ethan wakes up to a shock as he discovers that his drawing for school has become wrecked, and he saw the ink splotch from the night before sitting in the middle of the page. He touches it, and it goes all spiky. The ink goes under his bed, and Ethan yells that there is a huge bug inside his room. His sister Sarah comes and says she wants ice cream, so he leaves his room. They pas by his dad and he looks really tired. For school, he decides he will say that he forgot it. He goes to school with Sarah, and after he makes sure that she is where she is supposed to be, he leaves for his own class. He tells his friends in his group that he forgot the drawings, and everything seems OK. Suddenly Vika comes over, and the two have an argument. The teacher tells them to stop and everything goes back to being OK.
