When Ethan goes to his bedroom, he notices something amazing. His drawing board has been redrawn, and it looks REALLY good. He starts to wonder what happened, but then the ink comes out from under the bed and startles Ethan. But then the ink formes itself into a question mark, and Ethan and the ink have an actual talk, which is weird. Then Ethan asks if the ink has a name. The ink says no, so Ethan makes up a new name: Inkling. Inkling writes his name over and over again, and then Ethan notices that his picture of him and his Mom is gone. He tells Inkling to put the picture back, and Inkling does so. Ethan talks some more with Inkling, and then Ethan tells him to stay while he gets some ink for Inkling to eat. When he gets back, Ethan asks if inkling will stay, and Inkling says yes.
